IT can be exhausting being a parent, but once you discover the hacks - they can feel life saving.
And while your little one learns to have a sleep pattern, it can take a lot of time and patience on the parents behalf to help get to a certain point.
However, one mum has shared her journey after she decided to see ifwould do the trick.
Mum Caroline decided to give the Sleep Well Oat drink to her toddler Alf.
The drink contains an ingredient called valerian.
This ingredient increases the amount of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the brain.
Studies have shown that increased levels of GABA in the brain lead to falling asleep faster and experiencing better sleep.
The mum explained that she was reading up on getting your little one to sleep from when she was pregnant.
She adds that in the “earlier days” her son's sleeping was great but from around four months in “things took a bad turn.”
Caroline explained that now her son is two, he has never slept through or latest until 4am.
She added: “We also realised he could now climb out of his cot and was not so happy to go to bed.
“So we got him a new ‘big boy bed’ but of course, he didn’t want to stay in that and we found ourselves sharing our bed with him from about midnight every night.”
She explains that says it’s made with Jersey Milk, honey, vanilla flavouring and Valerian.
She explains that her son has always had a bottle of milk before bed, and even “several bottles a day.”
On the first night she started off by giving her son half a carton of the Sleep Well milk, that “smelt lovely.”
She gave it to him 20 minutes before he was going to sleep.
He enjoyed it and he went to sleep quite soon after drinking it

However, she says the first night was “one of the worst nights in a long time” as he was crying all night and then up for the day at 5.30pm.
On the second night Caroline gave her son the milk again, and once again he drank it all and then settled and did wake up a couple of times in the night but very quickly resettled.
She adds: “And the next morning he didn’t wake till 6.30am - a new record for Alf in his big boy bed.”
She explained the same for the third night, and then he slept till after 7am.
