PASTA LA VISTA

The ‘tragic’ vegan lasagne that makes us all think twice about ditching meat

Why would you ever mess with something so perfect?

WHETHER you admit to it or not, no comfort food quite compares to a nice healthy portion of cheesy lasagne.

Well just when we finally wrapped your head around vegan Gregg’s sausage rolls and a plant-based Burger King offering, a baffling vegan lasagne has now taken the internet by storm – and it looks positively offensive.

We would like to have no part of this so-called ‘lasagne’ please and thank you

Posting a horrifying photo of the “lasagne” in question online, Twitter user wrote: “Coworker brought in vegan lasagna today and I’m ready to knock all that s*** over.”

While a normal lasagne is made with several sheets of pasta, white sauce and mince meat, this bonkers vegan offering features layers upon layers of lettuce topped off with slices of tomato and mayonnaise.

And it’s at this point that we just HAVE to ask.. is nothing sacred anymore?

Unsurprisingly, other outraged users shared the woman’s horror.

Another said the vegan offering ‘looks like hell’

Twitter
A third described it as an ‘abomination’

One user instructed: “Please promptly lift up AND turn over this entire table.”

Describing the “tragic” creation, another added: “That looks like hell.”

Unsure whether to be disgusted or amused, a third wrote: “Lmao this is just a breadless cold cut sandwich in casserole form.”

Meanwhile, one user joked: “Looks great between bread with mayonnaise, mustard, pepper and some salt!”

The Dictionary.com’s savage reply has got to be our personal favourite

Twitter
Another called it out for simply being a ‘stacked salad’

Much to our delight, even the Dictionary.com got involved and savagely replied with the definition of a salad.

They wrote: “We have another word for this…”

Calling out the imposter fair and square, another wrote: “That’s just a stacked salad. Who are they trying to fool?”
