Cadbury and Oreo are hiring people to taste-test chocolate for £10.75 an hour

CALLING all chocoholics! You could now get paid to be a chocolate taster for Cadbury and Oreo – and it sounds like the dream job.

Lucky candidates will be paid £10.75 an hour to try out the latest treats from Mondelēz International, the company that owns Cadbury, Oreo, Green & Blacks and Milka.

Four people will be chosen in total, and they will sample chocolate at the company’s base in Wokingham, Berkshire.

The good news is no experience is necessary as “full training will be provided to develop your taste buds”.

also says people will be taught “the specific vocabulary required to communicate your opinions”.

However, there are a few essential requirements the company is looking for in chocolate-mad applicants, with the main one being a “passion for confectionary and taste buds for detection”.

You must speak English fluently, be honest with your opinions and be eager to try new products.

Another essential requirement is that you aren’t allergic to gluten, nuts or dairy, as some of the products may contain these.

If you are selected for the choccie job of dreams, you will work alongside 11 other tasters and a panel leader.

The group will share their opinions and then collaborate to reach an agreement on taste.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE CHOCOLATE TASTER ROLE

  • A passion for confectionary and taste buds for detection
  • Honesty when it comes to giving opinion
  • Eager to try new inventive products
  • A communicative personality to build great relationships with your panel
  • A firm grasp of the English Language
  • If you have any dietary restrictions or certain food intolerances or allergies to certain foods then this position may not be suitable for you. You will be required to test products that contain gluten, nuts and dairy

 

The position is a part-time job, and there are a number of shifts going to suit workers.

These include 7.5 hours Tuesday-Thursday 12.15pm-2.45pm; 8 hours Monday-Thursday 3pm-5pm or 8 hours Monday-Thursday 10am-12pm on a weekly ongoing basis.
