CHRISTMAS just wouldn’t be Christmas without pigs in blankets.
And if you’re a fan of the scrumptious little sausage/bacon combo, then your dream job has just come up.
The Oast House in Manchester wants to pay someone £500 to be their ‘Pigs in Blankets Taste Tester’ in the run up to the festive season.
The festive feast doesn’t end there either – the rustic pub also wants the successful candidate to try Christmas pudding sausage rolls, stuffing balls and Brussels sprouts coated in polenta with a hot drizzle sauce.
It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity for foodies, and they don’t even need to eat alone.
As well as pocketing £500 for a tasting session, you can bring a friend to share the tempting treats with.
Mark York, Development Chef at The Oast House, told : “Pigs in blankets are the talk of the town this Christmas and are undoubtedly the trending food item of the season.
"That said, the pressure is on to ensure we’re serving up the best pigs in blankets and Christmas nibbles in the city.
“We’re wanting to play around with ingredients and flavours – and in order to pin down the perfect recipes, we need someone to come in and taste test to ensure our guests have the best Christmas nibbles possible!
“We’re looking for a local festive foodie to visit The Oast House and give the team and I some honest feedback, face-to-face.”

It reads: “Are you a self-confessed Christmas Dinner connoisseur? Do you love pigs in blankets? Do you love the trimmings as much as the turkey? If yes, then I’ve got the ideal task for you!
“We’re searching for one Mancunian resident to attend the ultimate Christmas taste-test for this year’s star of the show – pigs in blankets – and give us some honest feedback to help us perfect our Christmas nibbles menu.
“One lucky candidate will be chosen to taste the best of Christmas and attend an exclusive session at The Oast House.”
To apply, candidates are asked to share their funniest Christmas story for Mark and his team to judge.
You'll have to hurry, Many have already applied, including former G4 singer Ben Thapa, who said he was "a huge fan of pork products!"
