McDonald’s bacon double cheeseburger sends fans wild as it’s FINALLY rolled out… but some reckon they’ve been ordering it for years

MCDONALD'S is finally putting a bacon double cheeseburger on the menu as a trial and will roll it out nationally if it is a hit - although fans are getting excited already.

The heavyweight burger, coming in at 495 calories, is due to make an appearance in 64 of the fast-food chain's stores initially and will sell for £1.99.

If the burger proves popular the restaurant chain will then put it on the menu across the country.

Although, regular McDonald's goers will know that you can order it if you ask to customise your standard double cheese burger by adding bacon at the till.

At the moment, this costs £1.89 - although, prices do vary based on where you eat.

The burger has two patties, two cheese and two rashers of bacon along with the usual onions, pickles, mustard, ketchup and bun.

Menu changes at McDonald's are a big deal for fans of the food chain, famed for its golden arches.

In June, it launched a new smaller McFlurry while shrinking the size of the regular one.

If you're feeling fancy then you can even reserve a table at this one branch for the ultimate VIP experience. 

McDonald's has now rolled out it's table service to 93 per cent of it's restaurants,almost a year after it first launched.

The outlet in Kensington will become a reservation-only restaurant for one day only next week and a string-quartet will greet diners.

The move is part of a trial with the company rolling out such events for special days in the calendar, such as Valentine's Day.
