You can now buy pink ‘anti-ageing’ GIN made with pure collagen
Young In Spirit's Collagin is a 40 per cent proof spirit that contains 100mg of pure collagen
IMAGINE if you could banish wrinkles, cellulite and maintain youthful-looking skin by supping gin and tonics?
Well guess what? Now you can!
- Collagin Rose 50cl, £36.99 from NotontheHighStreet -
(see what they did there?) from new UK drinks company Young In Spirit is a 40 per cent proof spirit that contains 100mg of pure collagen, making it “the alcoholic equivalent of a facial”, apparently.
The brand has just launched its limited edition Pink Rose version especially for the summer season.
The spirit contains a mix of 11 botanicals including pink grapefruit, vanilla, liquorice, cardamon, coriander seed, juniper, pink peppercorn and orris, with the addition of oil steam distilled rose petals to give a floral, sweet finish.
Collagin is distilled in the Midlands using America’s number one collagen brand, which does not affect the taste, smell or appearance of the gin.
Co-founder Camilla Brown said: “We are on a mission to beautify the world of spirits and create a gin that could sit on a back bar but also a beauty counter.
"The original Collagin has gone down a storm, so when people were begging us for a pink gin we decided to give them what they wanted.
"With the addition of the rose, she still stays subtle and smooth but will appeal to gin lovers with a sweeter tooth."
Though you'd better be quick if you fancy giving it a try, as only 800 bottles have been made.
