Lidl’s popular citrus gin is BACK… just in time for the bank holiday heatwave
LIDL'S popular citrus gin is back in stores just in time for the summer season - and we can't wait to get our hands on some.
The own-brand spirit is part of Lidl's Hortus range and is described as "subtly fruity", with hints of hibiscus, fresh orange, lemon, rosehip and bergamot.
The tipple pairs well with grilled prawns and chicken skewers, making it the perfect addition to your BBQ, according to Lidl.
The gin costs £15.99 for a 70cl bottle, compared to £28.50 for a fancy bottle of Sipsmith Dry Gin - which it's often compared to - .
Just last month, Lidl's Hortus London Dry Gin beat Sipsmith, Gordon's, M&S and other posh rivals in a blind taste test by the Good Housekeeping Institute.
Hortus Citrus Gin launched in May of last year, as a limited-edition product, but was so popular that supermarket bosses have decided to bring it back for good.

To coincide with the launch, Lidl is also selling posh tonic that looks just like Fever Tree - but costs 71p less.
So why not fire up the BBQ and enjoy a nice, refreshing G&T this scorching bank holiday weekend?
