MCDONALD’S launched an even BIGGER version of its iconic Big Mac burger.
But when was the whopping offering available and where could you buy it in the UK?
Burger fans were in for a treat as the chain launched two new sizes of the legendary burger – the Grand Big Mac and the Mac Jr.
For a limited time only, the burger was available both in mini and mega sizes, following successful trials in the US.
Sadly, the new limited-edition burgers stopped being served on Tuesday March 20.
The Grand Mac came with two heftier all-beef patties, two slices of cheese, more lettuce and onions on a huge sesame bun for very hungry customers.
Kinder to your wallet and to your waistline, the Mac Jr essentially was just a single-patty burger with special sauce and is intended to be "easily eaten on the go".
The Grand Big Mac burger would have set you back by nearly £4 and about 741kcal.
You could pick up the Mac Jr for £2.19 and it had 400kcal - about a 100 less than a regular Big Mac, for customers who didn't want to ruin their January diet.
The new addition came as the Big Mac, which was first created in 1968, celebrated its 50th birthday.
Both of the new burgers were available across all restaurants nationwide.
However, fast-food lovers were so swift to snap up the offerings that they began to sell out all over the UK.
Fortunately, Maccies acted quickly and soon announced that the burger had been restocked nationwide.
The Mac Jr and Grand Mac were already tested in 2016 in Ohio and Dallas, because they are "beef-centric areas".
McDonald's franchises have featured many different menu items in recent months as it is fighting more upmarket chains like Five Guys and Shake Shack from taking an even bigger bite out of its business.
Earlier this year, McDonald's permanently added posh "Signature" burgers to its menu in the UK.
