Cadbury has secretly replaced one of the popular chocolate bars in its Christmas selection boxes… and shoppers are outraged
One bloke even claimed 'Christmas is ruined' by the controversial move
CADBURY has secretly replaced an old favourite in its much-loved Christmas selection boxes, and chocolate fans are outraged.
Proving change is hard to swallow, people are up in arms about the switch on social media.
Selection boxes are a popular choice in the run-up to Christmas Day, but Cadbury has annoyed more than a few loyal customers by deciding to ditch the Fudge bar.
It's been replaced with Dairy Milk Oreo, leading some to claim that "Christmas is ruined" by the controversial move.
Alan Maguire said he was "outraged", while Nigel Quinlan accused the chocolate company of waging a "war on Christmas".
And Laura Moore asked: "Why would Cadbury take the fudge bar out of the selection boxes, that's not on".
While Jeff R said "the fudge has always been my favourite", but not everyone agrees the 40s chocolate bar is such a loss from the selection.
Adam Gilroy tweeted: "I love how people are completely up in arms about Cadbury taking the fudge bar out of their selection boxes for an Oreo bar.
"I’ve never once walked into a shop with the intention of buying a fudge bar #calmdown".
But don't despair Fudge fans, as you can still find these bars in the small and Freddo selection boxes.
