Vegemite are launching ICE LOLLY recipes…and they sound truly revolting

The recipe includes Vegemite, honey, sugar and cornflour

VEGEMITE lovers could be in for a right treat (or not) after the company suggested flavoured ice lollies.

Twitter was in quite an uproar after Vegemite announced the recipe for the lollies and unsurprisingly, even lovers of the yeasty spread showed major concern.

This isn't unfamiliar territory - does anyone remember Cadbury's Vegemite flavoured chocolate of 2015? Although it tasted a bit like salted caramel, even knowing there was vegemite in my chocolate really did not do it for me.

The company hasn't released the lollies for purchase, but they have posted the recipe on their website just in time for the Australian summer.

However, we all know many people who would rather melt away than give into Vegemite flavoured ice lollies...

Here's the recipe for those die-hard Vegemite fans who would love to try their hand at the yeasty popsicles made from "leftover brewers' yeast extract with various vegetable and spice additives" (sounds yummy. Right? Right?).
