From lipstick stains, to grubby fingerprints or the remnants of the beer before, you really want to make sure you've got a fresh glass for your drink.

According to industry insiders MillerCoors, your beer could taste different even if detergent residue is left in the glass, let alone anything grubby.

Sometimes it can be hard to tell how sanitary a pub's glasswear is, with stains hiding behind your frosty lager.

But there are two very specific signs that your glass wasn't properly cleaned.

Apparently you can spot the signs of an unclean glass if the bubbles cling to the side of the pint or if the foam head goes down quickly.

MillerCoors created a video to show people how they should be cleaning their glasses to ensure that they are "beer clean" and ready for their pint.

Last month we brought you the news that drinking beer makes us smart and creative with "mild intoxication" helping boozers have more "eureka" moments.

We also revealed the location of Britain’s cheapest pint where a lager costs just £2.90 is revealed… so where does your area rank?
