Mum shares the holiday ‘tuck shop’ she’s created for her kids but gets immediately blasted for giving them so much sugar

A MUM has been parent-shamed after sharing the 'tuck shop' she had put together for her children to snack on during the summer holiday.

For many parents, the school holiday comes with kids constantly moaning about food and being hungry - but one mum decided to come up with a savvy way to make her summer easier.

All chuffed with her hack, the mum, who remained anonymous, took to Facebook where she shared how her ''tuck shop'' worked.

The parent said in : ''So my kids eat me out of house and home in the holidays ,and just eating out of boredom generally ,so this year said set your own tuck shop up to eat inbetween breakfast , lunch and dinner.''

The two cardboard boxes. she said, come with heaps of goodies, including crisps, two ''healthy options'' such as an apple, biscuits, as well as some juice to quench the thirst.

According to the mum, who was hopeful the fridge won't be ''raided'', the kids are allowed to take the snacks into the bedroom - but once it's gone, there's no more snacking to follow.

The mum added: ''Of course if there hungry they can have what they like [sic].''

''But helps them to learn about shopping and food and money ..

''hopefully a helpful tip for other single mums and family’s in general [sic],'' she went on.

However, whilst she may have had the best of intentions to help others, the parent was soon savaged online.

Hundreds of members of the popular where the post was shared raced to comments - and many slammed the mum for the snack options.

One person reckoned: ''That's a whole weeks worth of sugar!''

Another agreed, writing: ''Why encourage snacking between meals . If they have a decent meal rich in protein they shouldnt need snacks [sic].

''Encourage them to eat fruit if they have too snack.''

A fellow parent said: ''We have a fruit bowl in the middle of the dining table they can help themselves to all day long.

''Or they make themselves noodles or toast or a sandwich or cereal between meals.

''I don't really buy "snacks" as it doesn't fill them up anyway.''

Luckily, there was also heaps of support from others who praised the mum for her idea and hit back at the shamers.
