Taco Bell volcano menu: What are the new items?
FAST food giant Taco Bell has brought back its Volcano Menu due to popular demand.
Here's what you need to know about the new additions to the fan-favorite menu.
What are the new Volcano Menu items?
Taco Bell's spiciest menu has made a huge comeback. The Volcano Menu, which consists of the Double Beef Volcano Burrito, Volcano Taco, and Lava Sauce is finally available to order across participating Taco Bell branches nationwide.
While the fast food behemoth hasn't introduced a new Volcano Menu item, fans may be delighted to find out that they can request the famous Lava Sauce to be added to any food item they wish.
It just means you can add a spicy twist to classic Taco Bell staples, including Cheesy Gordita Crunch, Burrito Supreme, and Mexican Pizza.
When will Taco Bell's Volcano Menu be available?
Taco Bell re-launched the Volcano Menu on June 27, 2023, to Taco Bell Rewards members and on June 29, 2023, to the general public.
Taylor Montgomery, the brand's US chief marketing officer, shared that they decided to re-introduce the menu as a response to fans' requests.
“We’re always listening to our fans, and the extensive passion and needs of the Volcano fanbase could no longer go unmet,” he said in a statement.
To help spread the word, the brand has also tapped Paris Hilton, their 'resident expert of what's hot.'
“Taco Bell’s Volcano Menu isn’t just iconic, it’s the epitome of hot,” Hilton said. “I am loving being a part of this Y2K revival with my very own Hot Line and hope fans will take my advice to live más.”

When was the Taco Bell Volcano Menu discontinued?
Taco Bell's Volcano Menu was discontinued in 2013, but its roots trace back to 1995.
The brand launched the Double Beef Volcano Burrito in 1995 as part of the promotion of the film Congo, as it was advertised as 'the spiciest burrito ever.' It was a limited-time-only item then, but it was re-introduced in May 2009 until its discontinuation in August 2013.
Meanwhile, the Volcano Taco and Lava Sauce were launched in the fall of 2008 as part of the permanent menu. It made a brief return in 2015 as part of the Volcano Quesarito and Steak Burrito.
