Originally £4 a pack, the supermarket had orange stickered the butter at just 80p each.

Rachel made sure to take them all and clear the shelves of the last remaining three packs and proudly took to Facebook to show off her purchases, leaving many stunned.

Posting in the Facebook group, , which has 2.2million members, the thrilled shopper shared a picture of her latest finds.

She said: “Bargain.

“[I] took them all for that price.”

Alongside her confession, the bargain hunter shared a picture of her three packs of reduced butter.

Rachel shared her post just two days ago, but it has clearly shocked many, as it has quickly amassed a whopping 1,500 likes and 446 comments.

However, eagle-eyed shoppers were quick to flag that the three packs of butter that Rachel nabbed were due to surpass the best before date, on 15th May, the day that she shared her post.

One person said: “15.05.23.. Unless you need to use it all at once.”

Another added: “Not really a bargain, they are out of date.”

A third commented: “They’re out of date [sick emoji]”

Many other social media users were annoyed that Rachel bought all three.

One user noted: “You bought 3!!! How very dare you!!!”

A second chimed in: “Nothing like thinking of others lol.”

Whilst another person posted: “Sharing is caring they say.”

However, there were some Facebook users that were impressed with Rachel’s bargain buys and revealed that they too would have bought them all.

One stunned shopper claimed: “I paid £5.25 last week!”

Another explained: “Whip them labels off, and everyone is gonna think you've won the lottery. Brilliant bargain well done. It's ridiculous how much this butter is at full price. I would have bought them all too.”

Whilst a third agreed: “Good for you, I'd have done the same.”

Rachel later confirmed that she froze two of the bargain butters.

She revealed: “I froze two.

“Six months I keep things in the freezer for.”

She also explained: “You swear I had robbed a bank with half of these comments.

“The guy at the till was happy I took them or they would have gone in the bin.

“Also it’s my money to buy what I like.
