Beccie proudly took to Facebook to show off her money-saving tip, leaving many stunned.

Posting in the Facebook group, , which has 2.2million members, bargain hunter Beccie shared pictures of her cheap buys

Beccie was lucky enough to get her hands on a ‘Ripe Here, Ripe Now’ bag - containing bananas for only 25p.

She said: “Saw these in M&S and thought they were a brilliant idea.

“A bag of around 4 bananas for the great price of 25p! Ripe and ready to eat.

“Would usually cost around 80p-£1 so I personally think it’s fab!

“We get through so many bananas in our house as a family of 5 and always struggle to find ripe bananas, they all seem green at the min!

“Love the fact it’s to encourage people to not waste, nothing wrong with a bruised banana.”

The bananas that are too ripe to be sold in standard packs will cost you just 25p, and are great for baking banana bread.

Saving the bananas from becoming food waste, the handy packs even come with baking recipes to use them in.

Beccie shared her post just 16 hours ago, but it has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly amassed 768 likes and 88 comments.

Many shoppers were left open-mouthed at the post and were eager to nab the M&;S find.

One person said: “Perfect for banana bread, milkshake, smoothies or even just to eat! You could cut these up and freeze for later.”

Another added: “M&S is definitely becoming a shop I need to shop in , see lots of good deal and some are cheaper than Asda.”

A third commented: “Perfect for my household, I love bananas but they have to be like this and my kids will eat them still solid and green by the bunch just because they love bananas so I never get a look in.

“I'm always after another reason to visit M&S other than their pink lady apple juice.”

Whilst one savvy shopper claimed: “I got a bag today and it had about 15 bananas in for 25p!! Definitely worth it!!”
