'A BIT MEH'

I taste tested every Prime flavour, here are the ones that aren’t worth buying

A SOCIAL media star has taste tested every flavour of the Prime Energy drink and revealed the ONE he likes.

Glasgow-based content creator Darren Dowling, better known as Dazza online, managed to get his hands on the bottles despite thousands queuing outside supermarkets up and down the country for the viral products.

Despite some people selling one bottle of Prime for hundreds of pounds, Darren was able to get each flavour at RRP.

But after trying all of them, he has no idea why anyone would pay over the odds and reckons people are mad to be spending silly money.

Speaking to Scottish Sun, Come Dine With Me star Darren says: “It wasn’t awful but Prime is so overrated.

“With how hard it is to get it, I was hoping it would be worth the extra effort.

“But it’s just a bit meh in the end.

“The grape flavour was probably the nicest I tried and none of the others stood out to me.

“If people can buy it at RRP and spend a few pounds to try it then give it a go, you can see for yourself what all the fuss is about.

“But for the folk spending £15 or £20 just to get bottle, do yourself a favour and save your money, don’t get ripped off for something that is even that good.”

Last week we revealed how Darren left Gordon Ramsay speechless after cooking him a meal he’d never tried before.

The celeb chef was far from impressed when he heard that Darren was deep frying a whole sea bass with a side of baked beans, cabbage, banana and a tequila shot.

Gordon said: “Seabass and baked beans don’t go together.”

Darren replied: “You ever tried them together?”

Naturally, the fiery chef said he hadn’t and didn’t want to be let down when he tasted it.

Surprisingly, Gordon didn’t hate the meal and told Darren it was a job well done.

Darren, who took on the challenge as part of the promotional activities for new STV and ITV show Next Level Chef, was delighted to receive Ramsay's feedback.
