You’ve been eating Nutella all wrong… and the right way means you’ll never waste any ever again
NUTELLA fans are left gobsmacked as a clever Reddit user reveals the ‘correct’ way to eat the chocolatey-spread without leaving any in the jar.
The much-loved cupboard staple is massively popular with Brits, with many of us often scraping the sides of the jar to get as much of the hazelnut-goodness out as possible.
But thanks to this “mind-blowing” trick, you’ll never waste any of the spread again as this hack stops any from getting stuck to the sides of the jar.
The hack was shared on by a Nutella fan.
It’s the perfect way for saving time and money and it's super simple.
The user ‘UD_Ramirez9’ was taught the hack by his girlfriend and found it hard to believe at first but said it “works time and time again”.
He wrote: "If you only take from the center of the Nutella jar, the thickness of the Nutella stuck to the glass will pull it down.
"This will cause the sides to be perfectly clean by the next day.
"I suspect it is because of the cohesion of the Nutella pulling down the remains, and/or the thickness keeping the residue from drying out and sticking to the glass.
"Either way, I was surprised to see her trick works really well.
"No endless scratching to get the remains out by the end, except for the very bottom.
"I know, right? Mind blown."
Clearly the hack has impressed numerous people as it has racked up over 20,000 likes, with more than 800 users commenting on the post.
Many were left shocked at the hack but were eager to give it a try.
Others joined in the conversation to share their tips about the delicious spread.
User 'ptoki' added: "Just dont keep it in the fridge, It will not work in such case. Nutella must be warm to flow."
Some users questioned if the hack would work in the UK as the spread contains different ingredients to the US version.
Thankfully, one user confirmed that it will work for us Brits.
User ‘SkiingGod’ noted: "Works on UK Nutella. At uni my weapon of choice was a full on dessert spoon.
“All you need to adjust is the ambient temp.
“I'd say 16C was enough for the UK stuff.”
So, if you like your Nutella spread on toast, in a croissant or simply from the jar, get your spoon at the ready!
