The amateur chef, called Nicko, shared his simple tutorial on , and it’s incredibly easy to make at home.
You’ll need some key ingredients, including chicken, iceberg lettuce, a sesame seed bun and mayonnaise.
But first you need to make the marinade for your chicken using mustard, chilli powder, white pepper and garlic powder as well as vinegar and Worcestershire sauce to give it that unmistakable tangy flavour.
He said: “Mix until combined well, then add your chicken.
KFC Zinger marinade mixture
- 1 tbsp Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Worchestire sauce
- 1 tbsp Red chilli powder
- 1 tbsp Garlic powder
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1 tbsp White pepper
“Coat and place in the fridge for four hours, or overnight.”
While the chicken is marinating, you can make your breadcrumb mixture to coat the chicken.
You’ll need most of the same spices you used for the marinade, including chilli and garlic powder, but there’s one secret ingredient which gives the chicken it’s irresistible crunch - crisps.
Nicko said: “Now for the secret weapon, plain unsalted potato crisps. Crush and add to the mix.
“Coat the chicken in the flour mix then return to the brine, then coat again.”
After you’ve fully coated your chicken, pour some vegetable oil in a pan and heat it to 180c.
Nicko says to fry the chicken for nine minutes, turning occasionally until it’s golden brown.
And to replicate KFC’s sauce, simply add some garlic powder to your mayonnaise.

Now comes the fun part, as you put it all together to make the iconic Zinger burger.
He says: “To assemble, place the mayonnaise on the heel bun, then shredded iceberg lettuce and the Zinger chicken.
“Finish off with the sesame bun crown and you’re done. “
