Posting on the Facebook group , Leanne Short shared her foolproof way to get the perfect battered fish at home.

Rather than using one lump of fish like she'd done in the past, Leanne - who runs the - decided to mince the pollock for her homemade Filet-O-Fish.

She explained: " I minced the pollock added salt and pepper, shaped, froze for 10/15 mins and dipped in flour, egg and breadcrumbs."

After this, she then froze the fish for another 15 minutes and fried it until it was golden brown.

She continued: "I put it in a brioche bun I had steamed and added the traditional half a slice of cheese and topped with tarter sauce."

What's more, Leanne even claims that her homemade version tastes BETTER than the original.

And based on how mouth-wateringly good it looks, she might just be right.

Leanne's post has racked up hundreds of likes in the group and inspired others to get cooking.
