And now, after people have been pining over the beloved McMuffin, McDonald's has answered our prayers and finally revealed their secret breakfast recipe so you can make the EXACT breakfast treat from home.
To whip one up yourself, you'll need an English muffin (or six, because who will stop at one), 75g sausage meat, two eggs, a slice of American cheese and a potato.
To start, season the sausage meat with salt and pepper and shape into two balls before flattening into patties.
When you're ready to cook them, do so under a pre-heated grill for 6-7 minutes on each side.
What you'll need
- An English muffin
- 75g sausage meat
- Two eggs
- Slice of American cheese
- One potato
You might be wondering what the potato is for, and it's so you can recreate your very own hash brown.
To do this, grate the potato in a bowl before adding one of the eggs with salt and pepper for seasoning.
When cooking the hash browns, heat the oil in a pan then add in a spoonful of the potato mix and flatten in the pan to make small patties.
Cook them on both sides until they are golden and crunchy - just like the real deal.

While you're cooking the patties, you can get your egg ready too.
Use an egg-frying ring to get that perfect circle, and brush the inside of it with a little oil before placing into a small frying pan.
Then pour just enough water to cover the base of the pan and bring to the boil before cracking the eggs into the rings, covering and cooking for two to three minutes.
We all know that the secret to any burger - or McMuffin- is the order in which to stack the items.
So to perfect the McMuffin from home, layer the patty and egg on top of a slice of cheese and sandwich them between the muffin halves.
Then serve your hash brown on the side - on add to your sandwich for the ultimate indulgence - and the best part is that you can make it at any time of the day, not just for breakfast.
Now all you have to do is toast the muffin to your liking and assemble the McMuffin.
