Woman renovates her dingy staircase into a Mrs Hinch-inspired hall for just £50 – and the transformation photos are impressive
A SHOPPER has taken to Facebook to reveal how she renovated her dated staircase for just £50.
Writing on the , the woman posted a series of impressive before and after photos, explaining how she achieved the stylish look.
"Renovated the stairs ourselves for around £50 and absolutely love them!" She wrote.
"We laminated the top and bottom of the stairs: Stair treads from eBay; clock from B&M; large painting from Dunelm; small painting I painted myself to look like the Dunelm one.
"Laminate from B&Q; stair paint from B&Q (Leyland paint); shelves from B&M and wall paint from Johnstones in Moonlit Sky matt finish."
The photographs featured a beautiful staircase painted grey, with light grey stair treads, painted white walls, staggered shelving and a gorgeous set of drawers sitting on the corner step.
The area was also furnished with a collection of photographs, paintings and glass ornaments.
The stylish staircase was in contrast to the dingy "before" images, which featured a dark blue carpet.
And other group members were going wild for the transformation, with one commenting: "Oh wow. Looks absolutely gorgeous."
While another said: "Woah what a transformation. It's gorgeous really well done."
The post has since had over 3,000 likes, with one person even likening the staircase to something from a home magazine.
"It looks absolutely beautiful, what a transformation you've made," they wrote.
"I love the shape of your stairs. Well done, it looks like a picture in a home magazine.
"I hate mine now. I'll be ripping the carpet up tommorrow lol."
