AN INSTAGRAM star's enormous engagement ring has been branded "fake" and "tacky" by wedding shamers online.

Travel blogger Laura G was recently whisked away on a romantic trip to Paris by her boyfriend Dhar Mann who popped the question in front of the Eiffel Tower.

The proposal was spread over the course of a week and involved Laura going on a scavenger hunt before she was eventually lead to the famous Parisian landmark.

But when she shared the happy news with her two million followers, many were quick to criticise the "tacky" ring which features one enormous diamond on a diamond-studded band.

Sharing photos of Laura's ring on the Facebook group Ring Shaming, one unimpressed user wrote: "An influencer that I adore just got engaged after a week long scavenger hunt proposal that led them to Paris and then comes back with this atrocity."

Another replied: "It looks like something I would have received as part of a prize at an arcade when I was 5 and would wear for a week until the ring part snapped."

Another added: "The stones and setting are wider than her actual finger. It's so out of proportion."

Trying to figure out just how many diamonds are on Laura's ring, a third wrote: "Does she want to be a Kardashian?

"That just screams 'hey, someone steal this from me!' Goodness. It's got to be 6-8 karats. 100-200Kish. That's if it's real..."

Similarly, another wrote: "All that for something I can get out of my daughter's toy box??"

The couple also filmed their week-long proposal for their shared - where they boast a further 122,000 subscribers.

In the video, Dhar claims he knew Laura was "The One" within meetings of meeting her because she gave him "goosebumps all over his body" and had an instant "special connection".

Explaining why he sent his wife-to-be on an extravagant scavenger hunt, Dhar said: "It's not easy getting anything past Laura, I knew she knew I was going to propose soon but she didn't know how I was going to do it, where I was going to do it, or exactly which moment."

Dhar kickstarted the proposal by buying a whole new flat for the couple to live in in Los Angeles before treating Laura to a shopping trip in Beverly Hills to "spoil her".

Having already enjoyed three days of pampering, Dhar then whisked Laura away on a trip to Disneyland before they went on to Paris on the sixth day.

The terrace Dhar proposed on had its own private view of the Eiffel Tower and the Instagram star covered it in candles and rose petals as well as hiring a string quartet to set the mood.

After Dhar popped the question, the in their black tie attire and enjoyed a candlelit meal overlooking the Eiffel Tower as part of .

The devoted fiance also surprised Laura with framed photos of them from over the course of the seven-day proposal.

Laura celebrated the good news by posting a photo on Instagram showing off her enormous sparkler on Instagram with the caption: "He liked it so he put a ring on it."

The proposal video has already had over 370,000 views since it was uploaded earlier this month and 30,000 "likes".

Earlier this year, the couple uploaded a video on their where they claim they almost broke up after a disastrous holiday to Hawaii.

Although Dhar hasn't revealed how much he spent on Laura's ring, he previously proposed to ex Shahs of Sunset star Lilly Ghalichi with a £1m sparkler before their split in 2014.
