FANT-ASS-TIC CURE

Mum, 46, who suffered from eczema so bad she struggled to get dressed is cured by £10 salve made from donkey milk

A MUM with crippling eczema has revealed how she was able to cure it with a £9.95 salve made from donkey milk.

Rosa Enfield, 46, from Winchester, suffered from such a severe form of the skin condition that she struggled to cook, garden, get dressed and wash her hair.

The marketing manager had her first flare-up of eczema symptoms - which include dry, scaly, red and itchy skin - following a difficult divorce three years ago, and it spread to her fingers, palms and wrists.

"I was sleeping badly, working long hours and dealing with all the emotional turmoil that comes with a messy divorce and that was when my hands went from being just very dry and flaky to becoming red, swollen, cracked and extremely painful," explained Rosa.

"It was hard some days to even cook dinner for the kids as holding pans was so painful.

"It hurt every time I touched something.

"I got to the stage where by any creams I wanted to use on the rest of my body or to wash my hair I had to use rubber gloves as any product I got on my hands was complete agony, it felt like pouring acid on my hands."

Rosa was also forced to give up her beloved hobbies, including mountain biking and gardening.

"My hands would bleed inside the gloves,' she said.

"When I was gardening, I found it too painful to put enough pressure on the secateurs to even clip the weakest of stems.

The mum-of-two added: "Looking back now, I think at one point I was really quite depressed as I felt I literally couldn’t do anything I loved."

Rosa was prescribed two rounds of steroids by her GP, and gave a range of alternative treatments a go - including going vegetarian, giving up lactose and rubbing in essential oils - but nothing soothed her hands.

However, she finally found a solution in the form of Hydrosil Turmeric Butter & Hypoallergenic Milk Salve.

It is made from donkey milk, which was found by Cyprus University of Technology in a 2016 study to help people with eczema, as well as asthma, coughs and psoriasis.

Rosa revealed that within a week of using the salve three times a day and beneath cotton gloves at night, "the cracks had started to close and the swelling had dramatically reduced".

She added: "The relief I felt is indescribable. Aside from the look of my hands it was just incredible not to be in so much pain every day.

"My hands were still a bit red after a month and you could see the patches on my wrists where the eczema had been but the cracks, swelling and flaking had all but gone."

In the past three months, she has been using the salve twice a day, and her hands feel "new".
