You can now buy a sexy Mister Rogers Halloween costume from Yandy based on the late children’s TV presenter
IT MAY be the spookiest time of the year, but if you're after a sexy Halloween costume, you'll be spoilt for choice - perhaps too much.
In amongst the saucy maids, Playboy bunnies and nuns, there is now also the opportunity to get your hands on a bizarre Mister Rogers get-up.
The late American children's TV presenter Fred Rogers has inspired Yandy's latest controversial costume.
On its website, the lingerie brand is selling its own version of his trademark red sweater, white shirt and tie combo.
However, the outfit is designed as a tighter and shorter female version of the ensemble that Rogers, who died in 2003, wore to appear on his educational Mister Rogers' Neighborhood programme which ran from 1968 to 2001.
It comes with a low-cut red cardigan, detachable white collar with a mini black tie, and a pair of high-waisted grey hot pants.
The get-up - which comes in small, medium and large sizes - will cost you around £47.
Some of the promotional images show the model wearing a grey wig and holding hand puppets - however these are not included in the costume.
To purchase these, you'll need to buy the 'Be My Neighbor' costume kit for £10.34.
Yandy doesn't shy away from controversial costumes.
Last year, it launched a Meghan Markle costume for Halloween featuring a bodycon white "bridal" dress and Deal Or No Deal suitcase for £38.
However, the 'American Princess' ensemble is now in the sale, and available for just under £20.
The US online retailer is also responsible for last year's controversial sexy Handmaid's Tale costume for Halloween.
However, the outfit was ditched following a furious backlash.
