Hairdresser playing Princess Diana in new musical hopes William and Harry will ‘love it’ because it’s a ‘positive tribute’
THE star of a new musical based on Princess Diana's life says she hopes Prince William and Prince Harry will "love it" because it's a "positive tribute" to their mother.
Appearing on Lorraine, Natasha John admitted that she originally found the idea of a Princess Diana musical "a little strange" but was won over by the heartfelt songs.

The star - who previously worked in her mum's hair salon in the Welsh County of Mid Glamorgan - was asked to audition for the lead role after producers were wowed by her "unexpected star" performance on Michael McIntryre's Big Show.
Natasha said that any doubts she had about the show were quashed when she listened to the music which runs alongside the show.
She said: "When I heard the music and then I read the script, I thought 'this is actually a lovely tribute.'
"The lyrics they've used are words that she actually said. It's her story, it's a tribute."

Speaking ahead of the show's opening tomorrow night, the star added: "If you love Diana, you will love this show. I promise.
"The music is amazing [and so are] the costumes."
However, Natasha is also holding out hope that Diana's two sons Prince William and Prince Harry will love the show as much as her.
She added: "Our aim was to do a show that hopefully the boys - Prince William and Prince Harry - will love.
In July, The Sun's Dan Wootton exclusively revealed that William and Harry had been edited out of the musical's storyline as well as The Queen and her final boyfriend Dodi Fayed.

Producers of Call Me Diana made purposefully edited out key people in Diana's life in an attempt to reassure the Royal Family and investors that the production will be a celebration of the late princess.
Hinting at how the show will outline the tragic events in Diana's life, Natasha added: "She was an icon and it does go into the troubles she had and her heartbreak.
"But the story is a tribute, a positive tribute."
Although the play was first written 12 years ago, Natasha admitted that the composer David Smart and lyricist Brian Watson "thought it was too soon and are hoping now is the right time".
The story will follow Diana's life from when her engagement to Prince Charles was announced in 1981 until her tragic death in 1997.
The musical will make its West End debut tomorrow night at London's Leicester Square theatre in the hopes that it will raise enough money to become a regular production.
