Taking to Facebook to rant about his behaviour, she wrote: "So this is what it has come to! You buy a house together, have a child together, get engaged, are planning a wedding and then this happens!

"Dave goes and buys a f***ing fridge safe because he's an a******e and doesn't want to share his chocolate with me anymore!

"Anyone want him? Surely this is break-up material right?!"

The post has since gone viral, racking up thousands of likes and shares.

Mum-of-one Stacey explained the safe is "like torture" admitting she "can't resist chocolate" and is fearful that fiance Dave will buy one for the cupboard, too.

“I laughed at first, but then told him it's like torture because I can see what is in there," she explained.

“Its like showing me what I can’t have. He’s saying he’s going to get another one for the cupboard now for his crisps and sweets.

"We are both foodies but I can't resist chocolate.

“I didn't expect my post to get this much attention at all, I was only having a whinge and a laugh.

“I put it up for family and friends to have a giggle as everyone knows I'm a chocoholic and as soon as I eat mine I end up eating his in the early hours of the morning when I go and get the baby a bottle."

Stacey and Dave, 29 have been together for four years and have a one-year-old daughter, Daisy.

But Dave finally had enough of sharing his chocolate after it started mysteriously disappearing.

“I can't believe he even searched for a something to hide his chocolate in from me," Stacey said.

“At the moment I haven't needed to try and get in there as I haven't run out of chocolate and he has been around so I don’t want to give him the satisfaction of seeing me trying to guess the code.

“He just keeps laughing and bragging to everyone about his amazing idea that he found on Amazon, and thinks he’s so clever now that it has gone viral.

“He has thrown out the instructions thinking he is clever so I'm going to Google it.

"I will eventually get in there and not tell him and slowly start to take little bits and maybe start to slowly put random things in there as well.

“I know if I haven't got any chocolate he will give in and share if I'm desperate, just to keep me quiet.”
