Six in ten women admit ‘dumbing down’ on dates so ‘less intelligent’ men aren’t scared off
SIX in ten women dumb down on dates so they don’t scare off “less intelligent” men.
Half struggled to find a partner who stimulates their brain.
But 82 per cent were happy to go on dates with “thicker” males as long as they were “hot”.
Dating site Match also found one in five stopped talking about a subject when they realised their partner had no clue about it.
And 31 per cent pretended to be interested in cars and football when they didn’t really care.
Faithfulness was the top quality women looked for, followed by sense of humour and ambition.
Style, intelligence, good manners and sexiness were also vital, said the poll of 2,000 Brits.
Dating expert Hayley Quinn said: “Intellect isn’t necessarily about qualifications you have at school.
“It could be life experiences and emotional intelligence. It’s important to have some differences. Diversity can strengthen a relationship.”
