Bride-to-be looks unrecognisable after stylist spends seven hours transforming her two-foot-long bleach-damaged hair
A BRIDE-TO-BE has undergone a dramatic transformation after her hair stylist spent a whopping seven hours giving her the ultimate wedding makeover.
When Holly Garrido got engaged, she knew she wanted to make a change after her two-foot long, bleach damaged hair had become completely unmanageable.
Despite being over the moon when her fiance, Vashon, popped the question, Florida-based Holly felt conscious about her locks.
In a bid to look her best, she enlisted the help of Sara and Jeremy at Avant Garde Salon - who along with a team of hero stylists - transformed her damaged hair.
At two-foot, Holly's locks were dramatically long, with Sara explaining the story behind her lengthy hair stemmed from childhood.
“[Holly] always felt like she needed to keep her hair long because of what her dad said: That a woman must have long hair or she wouldn’t be pretty without it,” the stylist explained.
But the team were determined to give Holly a confidence boost before her big day and got to work on transforming her look.
Stylist Jeremy was in charge of the cut, slicing off huge chunks to remove the bleached, outgrown hair at the bottom.
Screaming in shock, Holly couldn't believe her hair was gone - but it was the transformation in colour that made the biggest change to her new bridal makeover.
Blonde specialist Sara stepped in to lighten Holly's hair, taking it from brunette to bleach blonde in one sitting.
And the difference was dramatic, with Holly's hair transforming from long and unstyled to a chic and stylish, icy blonde bob.
"When we were done, Holly was so excited,” Sara said. “She feels beautiful in her own skin.”
And after Sara posted the before-and-after photos on her Instagram, followers were in shock, with one lost for words.
"Wow! What else can one say? Amazing," they commented.
Weeks later, Sara was nominated for Transformation Shot of the Year Award, with the stylist giving an emotional speech about Holly's journey.
And the bride-to-be was also in attendance at the awards, joining Sara on stage, before walking the catwalk to show off her brand new look - and glowing confidence.
