BEING royal, Prince Harry is in no danger of people offering to hold open a door for him, or close it for that matter.
However, last night the Duke of Sussex proved that he was perfectly capable of doing it himself - as his wife did a year before him.
Harry, 35, was attending the 5th anniversary of the Invictus Games at the Guildhall in London, and could be seen slamming his own car door after arriving at the venue.
It came 12 months after Meghan Markle was praised for doing just that when she shunned help from staff at the at the Royal Academy of Arts in London.
And the symmetry didn’t go unnoticed with royal fan account sharing a snap of the Duke and Duchess performing the gesture side by side.
Posting the image on their story, account holder Francesca wrote: “Wow, same energy.”
Twitter was also impressed with the prince with one tweeting, "he close the car door himself, how bout that???"
Meghan was praised for her “down to earth” attitude when she did the same last September.
Arriving at the Royal Academy the Duchess stepped out of her car and greeted a member of staff, before shutting her own car door.
And social media went utterly wild.
One shook user wrote: "Meghan closing her own car door is iconic. the queen could never. meghan out here not needin no man to shut her door for her [sic]."
Many Twitter users praised Meghan for being "down to earth", with one revealing they'd never seen a member of the royal family shut their own car door before.
"I don't think I've ever seen a member of the Royal Family do that before. Wow," they tweeted.
Others gushed that Meghan closing the door proved how "normal" she is.
Just a few days after Meg's high praise, sister-in-law Kate was also seen shutting her own car door when visiting the Sayers Croft Forest School.
