Nearly-naked swimsuit is mocked for its VERY impractical design – and don’t even get us started on the tan lines
THE SUMMER may be coming to an end but the trend for wacky swimming costumes certainly isn’t, as this bizarre one piece proves.
The bright orange swimsuit by Australian designer Karen Hurley features a cut-out flower design on the stomach.
The reverse of the costume has a low-cut back and a high rise finish, giving minimal coverage to the wearer’s rear.
Priced at £55 ($99 AUD) the Liana swimsuit is also available in black and white as well as the bright tangerine shade.
The designer shared a snap of the piece on her Instagram account on Monday, but not everyone was convinced by the risqué one piece.
“Interesting tan lines!” said one, while another added “Imagine the tan lines in this!”

However, other shoppers were quick to praise the swimwear, with it receiving exclusively five star reviews online.
One happy customer wrote: “So sexy! So different! Love it!
“If my chest would have been a little bigger I would if had problems so I would love if you guys add extra large sizes to the site.
“But this suit is amazing I’m counting down the days till vacation.”
A second said: “This is my favorite swimsuit Ive ever owned! The orange colour is a gorgeous colour, looks much nicer than the photos.
“The fabric is thick and good quality and is very supportive in the bust area. I was worried they might fall through the holes lol.

“This really is a showstopper swimsuit, looking forward to wearing it on my next vacay.”
This is not the first swimsuit to cause a stir this summer.
Earlier this year we told you about the 'skinny-dipping' bikini that claims 'you'll get no more dodgy tan lines' but it does give the illusion you're naked.
And this model's racy bum-flashing bikini snap left fans giggling thanks to her dodgy tan lines.
