Couple slammed for asking guests to bring a chair and a sandwich to their wedding
A COUPLE have been slammed for writing a cheeky wedding invite – which tells guests to bring a ‘chair and a sandwich’ if they’re late to RSVP.
Brides and grooms will know the struggle of working out the guest list, and then chasing people who don’t reply.
And no matter how much planning you put into a wedding, there are always people who don’t show, and guests which turn up at the last minute.
One couple decided to try and get around this problem by telling people to bring their own seating and food if they’re late to RSVP.
A snap of a wedding invite had gone viral online, with one couple taking drastic steps against people planning on turning up unexpectedly.
They wrote: “Please respond by September 10th 2019.
“If you do not RSVP by September 10th please bring a chair and a sandwich.”
There are two options, ‘accepts with pleasure’ and ‘declines with regret’.
A photo of the hilarious invite has racked up more than 1,000 comments after it ended up on , with people both shaming and praising the couple.
One person commented: “Good for them. That’s why you RSVP.”
Another wrote: “I hope someone they know brings a chair and sandwich just to troll them. After RSVPing of course!”
A third wrote: “And you wouldn’t have to give them a gift because you are saving them money. It’s a win win really.”
While someone else asked: “Does that mean I don’t have to RSVP, and then I can bring a chair and a sandwich and not buy the bride and groom a gift cuz I’m broke (and cuz I’m not eating their expensive food)?”
This person added: “More comfortable chair, and your choice of sandwich? Sounds like a no brainer to me.”
Plus this bitter bride shared a photo from her wedding – showing her mother-in-law dressed in a white bridal gown.
And a rugby obsessed groom planned a wedding at half time on the pitch– which only lasted five minutes.
Meanwhile planned a fake wedding for her best mate – then turned up in a white gown and married her boyfriend instead.
