Princess Charlotte’s hair flip hailed the ‘cutest thing ever’ as she arrived for her first day of school
ROYAL fans have dubbed Princess Charlotte twirling her ponytail on her first day of school as ‘the cutest thing’.
The four-year-old joined her brother, Prince George, at St Thomas’ in Battersea, starting her first day of school yesterday.

Kate Middleton and Prince William took their two eldest children to school in West London, with Prince George, six, starting his third term.
As The Duchess of Cambridge ushered her daughter towards the school gates, the youngster began repeatedly flicking her pony tail and playing with her hair.
The adorable gesture has delighted royal fans, who gushed over Princess Charlotte on social media.
The ‘hair flip’ has been hailed as a sign of the young royal’s personality, with thousands of people commenting on it on the Kensington Royal’s page.

One person said: “Charlotte is going to be a rebel. She’s trying to take out her pony.”
Another wrote: “I bet she comes home with that hair out of the ponytail.”
A third said: “Someone is not a fan of her ponytail.”
Others thought it might be a sign of nerves, or that she spotted her teacher sporting a similar style.

Princess Charlotte wore a ‘transitional’ uniform on her first day, consisting of a white summer blouse, blue pinafore with a matching cardigan featuring red stripes and the school’s logo.
The Cambridge’s met with head of the lower school, Helen Haslem, with Kate, 37, shaking her hand while dressed in a Michael Kors carnation ‘Georgette’ shirt dress.
Kensington Palace announced Princess Charlotte would join her brother at school in May.
