Glossy Kate Middleton wears £215 Michael Kors midi dress and debuts new haircut as she brings Princess Charlotte in for her first day at Thomas’s
MANY mums like to do the school run wearing something comfy – but not every parent is Kate Middleton.
The Duchess of Cambridge, 37, looked effortlessly flawless today recycling a £215 Michael Kors midi dress and perfectly blow-dried hair as she dropped Princess Charlotte, four, at school.
The royal mum cut a fashionable figure as she accompanied her four-year-old daughter for her first day at Thomas’s Battersea, in South London.
The proud parent looked sensation in her red-patterned dress, which was clinched in at the waist by a black belt.
She previously wore the dress for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's wedding rehearsal in May 2018.
Kate, who was also with Prince George, six, and Prince William, 37, finished off the outfit with a pair of navy stiletto heels and appeared to show off a shorter, glossy hair style for the big occasion.
Instead of a designer handbag, the doting mum-of-three carried Princess Charlotte’s rucksack ahead of her starting lessons.
Kate kept her make-up natural-looking and minimal, and wore a pair of dainty gold hoop earrings.
Meanwhile, Prince William scrubbed up nicely in a navy blazer, a pair blue shirt and a pair of brown trousers.
The family were seen greeting Helen Haslem, head of the lower school, who wore a £250 navy polka dot dress from L.K. Bennett.
Prince George, who is going into year three, also looked sweet in the navy uniform, wearing shorts.
CELEBRITY STYLIST ON KATE MIDDLETON'S NEW HAIRSTYLE
Celebrity stylist Jay Birmingham told Fabulous Digital: “Kate’s new hair looks much lighter and super healthy as she dropped Charlotte off at school.
“She has had some of the length removed which has provided a gorgeous bouncy finish on her hair.
“Her classic curls have been relaxed slightly as she showcases a stunning soft wave through the ends of her hair.
“The condition looks incredible and even though she has gone a few shades lighter the health of her hair is still intact.
“To achieve this, I recommend applying a moisturising mask once a week and leaving to soak in for around 20 minutes.
“Kate’s new colour has brightened her complexion and the use of lighter pieces throughout the top of her hair and around her face add dimension and give the illusion of thicker hair.”
The school charges usually charges £6,429 a term – or £19,287 a year – but Princess Charlotte will only be charged £6,305 a term, or £18,915 a year, as she gets a sibling discount.
Thomas's Battersea, which describes itself as a Christian school and is open to children of all faiths, believes in "praise as the greatest motivator".
It is also taught that kindness is as important as academic success and best friends are banned so no one feels excluded.
Art, ballet, drama, ICT, music and physical education are all taught by specialist teachers from a child's first day.
And Charlotte will be expected to start learning French once a week at her new school.
There are around 566 pupils in the school, ranging from the ages of four to 13.
It comes after we revealed adorable photos of Prince Harry and Princess Beatrice for their first day of school.
We recently revealed Prince George will reportedly be showing Princess Charlotte the ropes when she joins him at school.
And the royal siblings reportedly "lean" on each other as play dates with outsiders can be tricky, a royal source has claimed.
