Crafty woman creates Kim Kardashian-inspired DIY floral wall in her bedroom using fake blooms and card
A CRAFTY woman decided to create a Kim Kardashian-inspired floral wall in her own home – and all she needed was some fake flowers and a piece of card.
Colette Pringle, from Reading, was tired of her boring white wall in her bedroom, so decided to jazz things up with the help of her boyfriend, Lee Otterway.
Taking inspiration from Kim and Kanye's lavish flower wall at their wedding, Colette decided on a pink and white theme for her boudoir.
Colette, who works in a café, headed to the craft shop where she stocked up on faux bouquets, a wire cutter, a glue gun and some spongy pieces of card.
Explaining how she created the feature wall, she told : "My boyfriend is really good at art (although doesn't like to admt it!) so he did the majority of the placement and work.”
The 30-year-old – with the help of Lee – snipped the head off the flowers and poked the stems through the pink card, before sealing them with the glue gun.
They then nailed the pieces of card to the wall, which she said will make it easier to remove if she ever fancies a fresh design.
Colette added: “He cut them all to size around the door frame and light switch.
“It means that if I come to move then I can take them down and it causes minimum damage to the wall.”
The whole transformation took the couple around five hours and cost £120, with most of the budget being spent of the flowers.
