The Queen orders takeaway fish and chips when she is at Balmoral and staff go pick it up for her
THE Queen has a chef to prepare her meals each day, but is said to enjoy indulging in a takeaway when she’s staying at Balmoral.
Her Majesty, 93, heads to the Scottish retreat each summer and has been known to order from the local eateries on special occasions.
According to a royal source, the Queen chooses the same takeaway when she orders.
The source told Fabulous Digital: “She very occasionally treats herself to fish and chips when at Balmoral.
“A footman is despatched to get it from the local town of Ballater.”
The Queen isn’t the only royal to enjoy a takeaway delivery, and Prince William loves a pizza or Chinese.
And in an interview with in 2017, Kate, 37, admitted that she was partial to a curry for dinner.
But Kate isn't the only royal lady to enjoy a takeaway from time to time, and fellow duchess Meghan Markle has previously described chips as her guilty pleasure.
But that hasn’t stopped her indulging in some guilty pleasures, such as a gin before lunch, afternoon tea with finger sandwiches and a frequent supply of McVitie's rich tea biscuits.
Her former footman Paul Burrell even admitted she is partial to bananas, but eats them with a knife and fork.
She also loves bowls of Special K cereal, finger sandwiches and chocolate biscuits.
