Supermodel Gigi Hadid was spotted with The Rita Bag, a part of a collection by Rogue Matilda.

They are handwoven in Mexico as part of a community project that allows prison inmates to use their time while incarcerated to learn an artisan skill.

The initiative provides the inmates with an opportunity to learn a new skill, sense of purpose and make money for their family.

But Rogue Matilda isn't the only sustainable, eco-friendly handbag company out there... here are some of our favourites.
