HARRY and Meghan have hired a new £30,000 a year digital communications expert to boost their social media presence.
Keen hockey player David Watkins, 26, was snapped up from posh fashion label Burberry for the job which was advertised on the royal website earlier this year.
It described the said the Monday to Friday 9-5pm role role for prospective applicants as ''knowing your content will be viewed by millions'' and he will now join a ''fast paced and dynamic team'' at Buckingham Palace.
A royal source said: “Harry and Meghan want to conquer the world and they want to do it through the prism of social media to really connect with their followers.
“David is the perfect person to help them do this: his amazing video skills and visionary photographs have already been wiser praised by the Sussexes’ fans.” SussexRoyal has 9.3million followers on Instagram, while Kate and Wills’ KensingtonRoyal still leads with 9.9million followers.
The Cambridges use a social media team shared with Buckingham palace, while David has been hired for the Sussexes alone.
