DOUBLE DUCH

Kate Middleton fans can pick up a dupe of her sapphire engagement ring from M&S for £19.50

KATE Middleton’s sapphire engagement ring is one of the most famous pieces of jewellery in the world.

It’s estimated to be worth £300,000 – but if you don’t have that kind of money lying around, you can get an affordable dupe at Marks & Spencer.

Kate‘s stunning blue jewel is surrounded by 14 solitaire diamonds, while the setting consists of 18-carat white gold.

M&S’s £19.50 piece boasts a similar circular gem, with a number of pretty faux diamonds dotted around it.

Instead of real gold, it’s made of platinum plating.

It’s available in sizes small, medium and large, but you’ll have to snap it up soon – it’s already selling out.

Prince William proposed to Kate with the statement piece – which once belonged to his mother Princess Diana – back in 2010.

He popped the question in Kenya, and chose the ring as a way of “making sure my mother didn’t miss out on today and the excitement”.

Kate, now 37, unveiled the band in her and William’s official engagement interview, and high street stores have been selling their own versions since.

This isn’t the first time that Marks & Spencer has released this particular copy, but you’d previously have been hard-pressed to find it in stock.

Worried you’ll miss out again? The retailer is also selling a newer Kate-inspired ring.

Its Platinum Plated Cocktail Ring has a thinner jewel and quirky prong-set stones, and is also priced at £19.50.

We’d be quick if we were you.
