SINKING FEELING

Woman shares death-defying bathroom snaps on Twitter and people are horrified

WOULD you rather pee with a washing machine rattling away overhead, or risk life and limb by climbing out of a bath positioned next to a staircase?

That's the question of woman is asking on Twitter this week - and it's horrified the internet, racking up 89,000 likes and 21,000 retweets.

Blogger and copywriter Sarah Schauer, from South Carolina, USA, shared the two pictures on Thursday, explaining: "for the past hour I’ve been trying to decide which is worse. I honestly can’t say".

She added: "The first one is like Russian roulette, there are times when you could s*** and not die.

"The second one, you slip down the stairs almost every single time."

Responding to the death-defying design fails, people wrote: "This is terrifying" and "These are causing me more stress than I would have imagined".

Another baffled Twitter user mocked: "Whoever built this house is guilty of attempted murder."

And a fourth person joked: "when you’ve built your sims house too small and don’t have enough room for everything in the bathroom".

One woman reasoned: "Clearly they are both trying to kill the occupants.

"But as murder houses go, I prefer the one on the right (stair bath), for two reasons.

"1. anyone taking a bath does have the option to exit via the kneewall instead of on the stairs side (might want to add a grab bar), and 2. it looks clean."

Most people agreed the washing machine scenario was even more deadly.

One lad said: "As someone who delivers and installs appliances, that first photo gives me the cold sweats".

While a second wrote: "One fully loaded spin cycle away from death that’s for sure".

And a third added: "The tub on the staircase is funny, for sure. But the washer... that one may be serious".

Another lady reasoned: "If you install a railing on the right of the stairs, surely we can prevent a stair-related injury. The washing machine is just a gamble every time."

Others described both scenes as a "Final destination plot waiting to happen" and said: "As a lawyer it seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen to me."

Some shared pics of their own horrific design fails - including a fully open loo and sink on the staircase.

Another pic shared shows a four-poster bed which has been replaced by a carpeted bath.

And a third exposed an open toilet which is next to the lift - an e-loo-vator, you could say.
