In May, it was revealed that Meghan, 37, and Harry, 34, who welcomed baby Archie the same month, would only be following accounts of causes they wanted to highlight.

This saw them follow Anxiety UK, the Kind Campaign, and Black Mental Health Matters.

At the same time, they also notably unfollowed Kate Middleton and Prince William’s @kensingtonroyal account.

For the month of June they supported the LGBTQ+ community by endorsing the Trevor Project, Stonewall UK, and PFLAG.

And, in July, they highlighted the work of World Wide Fund for Nature, Dr Jane Goodall, and former NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg.

Now they have asked their own followers to put forward ideas for who they should champion next.

In a new Instagram post – which featured a block of blue super-imposed with the words: “Who is your force for change?” they wrote: “For the month of August we look to you for help.

“We want to know who YOUR Force for Change is…. Each month, we change the accounts we follow to highlight various causes, people or organisations doing amazing things for their communities and the world at large.

For August, they have asked the public to help them choose causes to highlight

“Over the next few days please add your suggestions into the comments section: someone you look up to, the organisation doing amazing work that we should all be following, an account that inspires you to be and do better (or that simply makes you feel good), or the handle that brims with optimism for a brighter tomorrow.”

The post revealed their plans to choose 15 accounts and follow them next Monday.

Their announcement has already received 163k likes and thousands of comments from delighted royal fans.
