Meghan Markle blasted for not including the Queen in list of ‘trailblazers’ for Vogue’s September issue
MEGHAN Markle is facing backlash for not choosing to feature the Queen among the 15 women she admires most.
The Duchess of Sussex has guest edited the September issue of British Vogue which goes on sale next month.
Choosing not to feature on the cover herself as she dubbed it “boastful” Meghan selected 15 women as “trailblazers” and “changemakers” that champion issues close to her heart.
However, royal watchers were less than impressed to see that the monarch had not made the cut in 37-year-old Meg’s line-up.
Taking to Twitter one fumed: “Of all the women MM selected, she did NOT choose The Queen. The original feminist.
“Anyone could learn volumes from her - yet MM refuses to listen.”
Agreeing another added: “Why isn’t the Queen included on the cover of September’s Vogue?
“Her Majesty is the perfect role model, like many of us she had no choice but to do the job she was given. The ultimate in grace & discretion for 70+ years.”
Meghan has also received flack for not including service people in her line up.
Using the hashtag #SelfIndulgent another said: “Pathetic front page.
