Trainer fan gets her white Converse sparkling in minutes using £2 Cif spray
A SHOPPER has revealed her budget tip for getting white trainers sparkling again – and it only costs £2.
White clothing might look good, but often it gets dirtier, yellows or fades faster than other colours.
Shoes get a lot of wear and tear, but if you find you’re constantly having to replace your white trainers, try this trick instead.
Posting to Facebook group one woman shared incredible before-and-after photos of her grubby Converse.
With scuff marks, dirt and stained laces, she revealed that she was on the verge of buying a new pair.
But she decided to try and clean them herself before chucking them away – with amazing results.
She revealed that a £2 bottle of Cif Perfect Finish Mould Stain Remover got her sneakers looking good as new.
Posting online, she said: “Mine have come up looking amazing!!”
Explaining the method, she wrote: “I had a sink of bleach. Sprayed the trainers all over (apart from inside as I wasn’t bothered about getting this clean.)
“With the cif spray and attacked them with a toothbrush.
“Then left them soaking in the bleach for no more than 10mins.
“Then threw them in an old pillowcase and put them on a 40° wash. Hope this helps.”
She warned people to wear old clothes while using the spray and make sure they’re in a well ventilated area.
But her tip has gone down well with fellow shoppers, with dozens of people praising the cheap trick.
They called the transformation “amazing”, and vowed to give their shoes a scrub before throwing them out.
