‘Headstrong’ Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are ‘ignoring’ palace orders, claims royal expert

FROM holding Archie's christening in private to their expensive home renovations, over the last few months, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have faced a stream of criticism from fans and insiders.

Now, one royal editor has suggested the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are "completely ignoring" advice from palace PRs.

Speaking on podcast, , the Daily Mirror's Royal Editor Russell Myers has claimed the couple are "careering from one disaster to another".

“In terms of the goodwill towards them, they don’t want to be extinguishing it every single time there’s an event," he said.

"What are their PR people briefing them, and are they completely ignoring it?

"My guess is, yes, they are completely ignoring it.

“They’re two very headstrong people, they’ve decided this is what they want to do for their child.

“They’ve moved out to Frogmore, you can’t get near the property whatsoever.

“There’ll certainly be no pictures or details of what was done for taxpayers in their spending of £2.5million, or up to £3million.

“It seems like they’re careering from one disaster to another.

“People I’m speaking to who are close to the Sussexes and close to the household are saying that they just don’t take advice.

“That is major problem for them."

Myers went on to say that the couple "can't switch [privacy] on and off when [they] want" adding that the palace press "need to get a grip on the situation".

Harry and Meghan were criticised for deciding to hold Archie's christening in private earlier this month.

Royal author Penny Juror slammed the couple's decision, dubbing it as a "mistake" after they came under fire for spending £2.4 million on doing up Frogmore Cottage.

She told : "They can't have it both ways. Either they are totally private, pay for their own house and disappear out of view or play the game the way it is played.

"Seeing Archie and his godparents arriving at the christening is what people are interested in."

The Duchess of Sussex was criticised further last week after making a surprise appearance on Court 1 to watch pal Serena Williams along with friends Genevieve Hillis and Lindsay Roth.

Days later, media consultant Sally Jones claimed in a  column that the former US actress' security team asked her not to take pictures of the royal as she sat in the same row.

While Kensington Palace declined to comment, a royal source said: "It's not uncommon for personal protection officers accompanying any members of the Royal Family to ask people not to take pictures so they can engage with people and events rather than camera phones."

The alleged request saw Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan accuse Meghan of hypocrisy.

The outspoken GMB host ranted: "If you go to Wimbledon in your free tickets in the Royal Box, the best seats in the house for nothing, and you take your two bezzies... you're public people.

"If you want to be private, go back to America and live privately."
