Wedding guests left ‘disturbed’ as the groom’s mother ‘spooned’ him during the official family photos

A WEDDING guest has slammed a mother of the groom after she was spotted “clutching” her son during the photographs.

The anonymous attendee took to to share the “disturbing” photograph which sees the bride’s mother-in-law with her leg wrapped around her son’s.

And it seems that other Redditors were equally shocked by the bizarre photograph which received hundreds of comments.

One wrote: “Nothing like firmly grasping your son's hand while spooning him on his wedding day.”

“Totally creepy and I'm sure exactly what the groom wants on his big day” agreed another.

A third commented: “Oh lord please grant this DIL (daughter-in-law) and DH (darling husband) the serenity to move far far away from the clutches of this mother.”

Another simply put: “That's beyond disturbing.”

Meanwhile others had clocked how uncomfortable the groom appeared to be in this scenario.

One commented: “Notice that his hand is balled into a fist. He is trying so hard not to hold hands with this woman!”

“Yeah, he's making a fist but she's not taking the hint” another attested.

Agreeing another added: “I like how you can tell that she tried to lovingly take his hand, so the groom clenched his fist to put a stop to that.”

The photo was shared on the subreddit r/JUSTNOMIL.
