Hippy-mum Meghan Markle swaddled Archie Harrison in a £33 organic cotton blanket for his first trip to the polo
SHE has been praised for her stylish outfits – so it’s little surprise that Meghan Markle is already making a statement with baby Archie Harrison’s attire.
The Duchess of Sussex, 37, wrapped her two-month-old son in a £33 handmade organic cotton blanket for a trip to the polo earlier this week.
As she watched Prince Harry, 34, compete in the charity match, Meghan – who was wearing a £545 kahki dress by Lisa Marie Fernandez – swaddled her firstborn in a traditional Indian summer blanket called a ‘dohar’.
It has been revealed as the Erwan Cotton Dohar by Hong Kong-based brand Malabar Baby.
According to the brand’s website, it is “three layers of soft natural cotton sewn together” and features a “hand block-printed center layer with natural delicate cotton voile on both sides”.
The blanket’s design has been finished off with a chic mustard-yellow trim.
It is currently available to ship to the US – but not the UK – indicating it may be a gift from one of Meghan’s American friends.
Malabar Baby was founded by Indian-American Anjali Harjani-Hardasani, who moved from New York to Hong Kong in 2014.
It was Meghan, Harry and Archie’s first public outing as a family.

Archie’s outing in an eco-conscious blanket comes as it was revealed Meghan used vegan paint infused with eucalyptus oil to decorate his nursery at Frogmore Cottage.
She and Prince Harry also have also installed a £50,000 eco-friendly boiler as part of the controversial £2.4m refurbishment of the property.
The couple are also believed to have reduced their meat consumption and moved towards a plant-based diet.
