FORGET toxic splits - these A-listers have managed to keep things on good terms since they ended their relationships.
Maintaining a friendship in the public eye might not always be easy, but these celebs prove it's possible.
Liam Payne,25 and Cheryl, 36
HOOKED UP: It was a romance made in pop heaven when the X Factor judge and the One Directioner got together in early 2016. Baby Bear was born a year later, but after months of split rumours they eventually announced they were parting in July 2018. The “fight for this love” was over.
MOVING ON: Cheryl’s stayed single while Liam’s been, ahem, very busy. As well as a four-month fling with supermodel Naomi Campbell, he’s been linked to Victoria’s Secret model Stella Maxwell plus Love Island winner and this week’s Fabulous cover star Amber Davies.
JUST GOOD FREXES: The pair shared custody of Bear, and Cheryl carried on living in Liam’s mansion for nine months after the split.
HE SAYS: “We still have so much love for each other as a family.”
SHE SAYS: “When you have a baby it’s your responsibility to keep things happy. And we have.”
Bruce Willis, 64 and Demi Moore, 56
HOOKED UP: Hollywood power couple Demi and Bruce sent shockwaves through Tinseltown when they split after 13 years in 1998.
MOVING ON: Demi married Ashton Kutcher in 2005. They broke up in 2011 and last December it was reported she was dating female stylist Masha Mandzuka. Bruce has been engaged to actress Brooke Burns and in 2009 married model Emma Heming, with whom he has two daughters.
JUST GOOD FREXES: Bruce and Demi have been guests at each other’s weddings and holiday together.
HE SAYS: “I wish her much happiness.”
SHE SAYS: “It’s easy to get attached to the negativity, but you do have a choice.”
Jefferson Hack, 47 and Kate Moss, 45
HOOKED UP: The Noughties It couple met in 2001 when he interviewed her. Daughter Lila Grace was born in 2002, but they split in 2004.
MOVING ON: Kate’s since been engaged to singer Pete Doherty, married (and divorced) Jamie Hince and is dating Count Nikolai von Bismarck. Post Kate, Jefferson was engaged to model Anouck Lepère but they parted in 2011.
JUST GOOD FREXES: They co-parent Lila Grace and Jefferson was a guest at Kate’s 2011 wedding to Jamie Hince. They holidayed together at Niagara Falls in 2015 and the following year she attended his book launch with Nikolai. Cosy.
HE SAYS: “My relationship with [Lila Grace] and her mum Kate is the thing I’m most proud of.”
SHE SAYS: Um, nothing. Kate famously never talks about her private life.
Kate Beckinsale, 45 and Michael Sheen, 50
HOOKED UP: After meeting in 1995 while starring in the same play, Kate and Michael had an eight-year relationship. Their daughter Lily was born in 1999 and they split in 2003.
MOVING ON: Kate was married for 12 years to director Len Wiseman, and since their 2016 divorce has been linked to David Walliams and Jack Whitehall. She also had a four-month relationship with Saturday Night Live comedian Pete Davidson. Michael’s had his fair share of relationships including with actress Rachel McAdams, comedian Sarah Silverman and most recently Irish actress Aisling Bea.
JUST GOOD FREXES: From celebrating birthdays – Kate supplied the cake for Michael’s 45th in 2014 – to beaming with pride together at Lily’s graduation in 2017, this pair really are the best of exes. Last Christmas, she shared a pic on Instagram of them cuddling up as they celebrated the festive season.
HE SAYS: “She will always be one of the most important people in my life. I have real love for her.”
SHE SAYS: “He’s one of my most favourite people ever.”
Matt Bellamy, 41 and Kate Hudson, 40
HOOKED UP: After splitting from her first husband, Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson, Kate found love in 2006 with the Muse frontman. Their son Bingham was born in 2011, but they separated three years later.
MOVING ON: Kate’s loved-up with musician Danny Fujikawa, with whom she had daughter Rani last October, while Matt’s engaged to model Elle Evans.
JUST GOOD FREXES: Kate’s the Queen of Frexes. As well as being very pally with Chris, she holidays with Matt and his fiancée and they’ve even celebrated Christmas together, nicknaming it “Exmas”.
HE SAYS: “We had a great relationship, she’s a lovely person, we’re better off as friends.”
SHE SAYS: “Matt and I really worked on it together and we came to the point where we realised that we are really better as friends.”
Miranda Kerr, 36 and Orlando Bloom, 42
HOOKED UP: They met backstage at a Victoria’s Secret show in 2006 and married in July 2010. Their son Flynn was born in 2011, but they separated in 2013.
MOVING ON: Orlando is now engaged to Katy Perry while Miranda is married to Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel.
JUST GOOD FREXES: They’ve spoken about their determination to stay close for Flynn and these two practise what they preach. Miranda was even there to support her ex in 2013 when he made his Broadway debut. In 2016 Miranda and Katy also posed for a selfie together.
