RED ALERT

Bride’s quirky white and red wedding dress is cruelly compared to ‘an inflated tampon’

A BRIDE'S wedding dress has been cruelly slammed as looking like an "inflated tampon".

People in a Facebook group also compared the white gown - which featured a pink and red skirt  - to "one of those toilet dolls my nana had" and like "when you spill red wine on your posh auntie’s white rug" as well as placenta and rhubarb.

A poster in   shared an image of the unusual dress.

The woman wrote: "Is it just me or does this dress look like some sort of an inflated tampon??"

Within just a few days, the image has received more than 1.2k 'likes' and more than 800 comments.

Many agreed with her that the outfit - designed by Istanbul-based bridal-wear brand Dovita Bridal - resembled used sanitary wear.

One person wrote: "Ugh it looks exactly like a tampon when you put it in the toilet bowl and it blooms."

Another commented: "I feel like this would be better in any colour that's not pink/red/brown."

A third shared: "I thought it was beautiful (although not my taste) until I read your caption."

However others jokingly compared it to a number of other items around the home.

And others suggested it resembled rhubarb, tripe, a bathroom rug, placenta and "like someone plucked about 20 flamingos on it".

However, some social media users were more concerned how the bride was able to move or go to the toilet with such a large train.

Earlier this week we told you how a sassy bride who wanted 50 bridesmaids says she had to settle for just 34 instead.

We also revealed how a bitter mother of the groom convinced guests to wear hoodies and shorts to her son’s wedding because she didn’t like the venue.

And a bridezilla demanded that all of her bridesmaids are exactly the same height on her wedding day.
