Mum launches scathing rant against parents who are always late for school run

REGARDLESS of whether you've packed their bags the night before and laid out breakfast in the morning, actually getting your little ones out the door and on the way to school can be something of a military operation.

But while the school run notoriously doesn't always go to plan, one mum has now posted a scathing rant against parents who are late dropping their kids off in the morning - and accused them of "not giving a c**p".

Writing on parenting forum , the woman revealed that her own mum was "absolutely terrible at mornings".

Describing how she "wouldn't get up early", the woman added: "We would never be given breakfast (usually biscuits or crisps in the car on the way).

"I hated walking in late every day. I never got used to it. Felt like all eyes were on me and the teachers would get annoyed."

Unsurprisingly, consistently being late for school has turned the woman "into an extremely punctual person" who finds herself sympathising with children in a similar scenario.

Having mastered the art of the school run, the mum revealed she finds it frustrating when she sees "parents walking towards the school 15 minutes after it first started".

She raged: "They aren't rushing either."

Considering how the village school is a mere five minute walk from most people's homes, the woman added: "I just feel sorry for the kids being ushered in so late in the morning.

"It's the same parents every single day!! It reminds me of my childhood and how being late everyday made me extremely anxious."

In a bid to tackle tardiness, the woman claims "the school have sent home letters" and rounded up the post by asking: "Do some people just not give a c**p?"

Unsurprisingly, the mum's rant divided other users on the forum - with some agreeing that repeatedly being late is disruptive for children and falls under "basic parenting".

One replied: "It's unfair on the children and the teachers. We've all got busy lives but the majority of us get our kids to school on time."

Another added: "The attitude is that other people's time isn't as important as yours and it holds other people back.

"It's also stressful and anxiety inducing for the child. Most of it could be solved by better self discipline and a few organisational tweaks."

Even a teacher weighed in on the matter, adding: ";It was the same children every time.

"It puts pressure on the teacher to help them catch up, it also leaves the child unsettled and uncomfortable for the rest of the day."

However, others blasted the mum for her "judgemental" attitude.

They wrote: "You have no idea what's going on in their lives. Mind your own business, honestly.

"Maybe they have a really difficult home life - and how is it affecting you anyway?"

Based on their own experience, one wrote: "Until you have had a child who feigns illness, sickness or just plain pretends to fall asleep to get out of school, who gets himself so worked up that he throws up if he's too pressured in the mornings, then you have no right to judge."
