The discussion started on , when a curvy woman revealed - in a post titled "Arrrgh what is a flattering (size 18) dress I can wear to a summer wedding???" - that she was at her "wits end" trying to find an appropriate outfit.

She explained: "I'm tall 5"8 with dark hair / paleish skin - although quite tanned at the moment from outdoor swimming.

"Any colours / patterns except for white considered. Nothing chintzy or satiny. Maybe a small heel or wedges but no stilettos."
