Mrs Hinch fan gets her stained bathroom plugs sparkling by using £2 silver paint

A MRS Hinch fan has taken to social media to show off her latest genius cleaning hack.

After "destroying" her bathroom plug with a cleaning product, the user explained she'd bought some £2 silver spray paint to spruce it up.

"Thought I'd share a little tip," she wrote on the group.

"I along with many of you also destroyed my chrome plug hole."

Sharing a before-and-after image of a rusty looking plug, alongside a sparkly new-and-improved version, she explained: "So far so good."

"I'll update with the end result and how well it wears in a few days."

Other users were seriously impressed with the idea, with several revealing they would also be using the hack.

"I hope this works, I've destroyed two plugs by forgetting I've left plug unblocker in them."

Another agreed, explaining she had ruined her plugs too.

Others, however, were sceptical with some users recommending simply buying a new plug.

While one explained the woman could have just screwed her plug off, another jumped to her defence to explain: "Mine doesn't screw off so this is amazing! Can't believe I've never thought of it!"

Others worried that the chrome effect spray would "peel off";.

The user later explained she would let others know, commenting: "It was worth a shot, couldn’t look any worse but I’ll let you know if I’ve just made a terrible mistake or not."
